CLIENT NEED

A self-governed individual membership organization, founded in 1876, provides a broad range of opportunities for peer interaction and career development. As the organization continued to grow to more than 158,000 members, their technology was unable to keep up. This healthcare membership organization needed a technology partner to help them move from their existing outdated windows messaging platform to a more advanced version that could support their current and future activities.

DATALINE CONSULTING SERVICES INVOLVEMENT

With substantial experience in designing and leading Windows messaging platform migrations, Dataline Consulting Services was the natural choice for this project. Working within challenging time and hardware constraints, we updated and optimized the client’s Exchange messaging platform to allow for maximum utilization. Additionally, the client’s internal staff was trained to support and maintain the new operating environment. Overall, we used MS Windows tools and Unix gateway system to perform an infrastructure review and cleanup, a systems integration review, MS Windows Director synchronization and migration, and systems consolidation development.

BENEFITS ACHIEVED

Dataline successfully completed the project - within the expected timeframe, with verified success and low risk - to allow the organization to get back to the business of serving its membership. Benefits realized include:

  • A messaging platform capable of serving their current and future needs
  • Site and server consolidation
  • Post-implementation training and support
  • Detailed documentation for their new technology
